HARRIS LEON-LAISNE.
We tried this car again which has now substituted rubber for the coil springs in the chassis members. We consider that the change has rather spoilt the suspension but the car rides well considering only rubber is used.

OTHER GENERAL INFORMATION.

8 CYLINDER CHRYSLER.

Apart from the adoption of an 8 cyl. power unit, the energies of the Chrysler engineers appear to have been mainly concentrated on improving the appearance of the car.
The frame has a considerable up-sweep over the front axle and from this point falls steadily to the dashboard. This fall in the frame side channels is so considerable that it has been found possible to pass a cross member under the crankcase forward of the rear engine feet. This cross member is badly needed because, in order to improve appearance, there is no member in front of the radiator and the pressing that carries the radiator is practically valueless.
Thus, the front engine feet are the first transverse frame tie, and the cross member forward of the rear feet is badly needed.
