1665. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/R.6.4.38. We have received the following note from Grylls who is ill:- "The synchromesh 2nd on Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}' car did not work "because of wrong assembly of 2nd speed selector "shaft which made sure that in neutral position "plungers were already out of their slots. We "recommend that Hardy gets an assembly length "added to the detail drawing." Will you please arrange this. Will you also make sure that P.III drawings do not permit this mistake to be made.
