Messrs. John Marston Ltd.,
WOLVERHAMPTON.

For the attention of Mr.Dunn.

Dear Sirs,

Referring to our discussion regarding the mod-ification to the Bentley II and Bentley III dummy shutter sets to prevent centre stiffener piercing the matrix in the event of the car striking some object and bending the dummy shutters - attached print of modified drawing EB.3416 shows what we want on the Bentley II shutter sets which you are at present supplying. As you will see, the alteration consists of two small metal tabs rivetted to each end of the stiffener, and we would like you to introduce this modification on production supplies as soon as you conveniently can. Will you please scrap print of EB.3416 which you have and which is replaced by print enclosed.

As regards the Bentley III radiator, we shall alter the vertical position of the yoke front stiffener and shutter grille stiffener so that they are in line and this will prevent damage to the matrix.

We regret that we have not yet been able to forward you the necessary R.R. parts for the Bentley 50 radiator which you are now completing, but these have been unavoidably held up as regards machining of some of the parts - in particular the steam valve body. Also there has been Customs delay in returning the damaged Bentley III matrix unit to us but this has just come to hand and will be despatched to you this morning - you can therefore use the component parts from it for the Bentley 50 radiator which is held up.
