Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/Mcr21/L3214. Re Continental over-size Tyres. X.917 Mr Plumpton. 3-2-14. In connection with your letter to the owner of 1992 recommending the use of these tyres, perhaps it might be as well to raise the point, in the event of the customer adopting our recommendation, that the Steering Stops on the front axle may require slight alteration to prevent the larger section tyres rubbing on the springs and steering tube. The Chauffeur should be able to test this by putting the wheels at full lock and seeing whether the tyre touches anywhere, if so a man could easily be sent with a pair of slightly longer Stops. p.
