I have received from Shell Mex Ltd confidentially a letter and the enclosed advance proof of a booklet describing "Racing Shell".

Mr. Callingham of the Company, whom I know very well personally, says that, whilst he knows we do not favour the super-sports and supercharged type cars for which "Racing Shell" is primarily designed, he feels that our technical people may be interested, and asks whether he can send a barrel of the new petrol to anyone at Derby for the purpose of it being tested. The new petrol is reported to have a very high compression value.

Will you please let me know if I should ask Mr. Callingham to send along the barrel concerned, on which he would doubtless expect in due course to receive a report?
