Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 24th. regarding the bearings which you metalled for us with N.S.5. cadmium nickel alloy.

These we received quite safely, have been completely machined and are now being fitted in one of our test engines.

We will let you know the result of our test when complete. Apart from the result we should be interested to know how the cost of this alloy compares with the normal Babbit (whitemetal)

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
