re. Petrol Tank Filters.

With reference to your CWB2/CH.2.5.28, and as discussed with you on the 4th. inst. this matter is receiving the consideration of the Works.

It is contended that the trouble is not due to the petrol leakage but probably due to the condition of the jointing material used, and consideration is now being given for this material to be changed to dry material which should not have the same action on the paint as takes place at present.

I understand that you will put this item on the Agenda for the next Technical Committee meeting.

The question you raise as to the dismantling of the petrol filters when the body is fitted was satisfactorily dealt with so far as the phantom car was concerned, but as regards the 20-HP. car I have taken this matter up with the D.O. and I understand they will be replying favourably to HO's memo. of the 3rd. inst. in regard to this matter.
