-3- Hyll/R.18.2.35. Comparative Costs. The comparative cost of SpectreCodename for Phantom III and Phantom was discussed and Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} asked that design should give all the assistance possible with a view to keeping the SpectreCodename for Phantom III cost at least the same as Phantom and if lower so much the better. It was decided that someone be appointed to get out comparative costs of material and labour of SpectreCodename for Phantom III Phantom and Cadillac. This should be done on one unit at a time so that some figures will be available at an early date. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} will decide who will do this work after talking to Eft. Ws. and someone from the Works are suggested. Distortion of Cylinders. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} said that it has been demonstrated that the distortion on SpectreCodename for Phantom III is no worse than Phantom. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} will try honing out cylinders when bolted up. (Keep on Agenda) Slow Running. (Review at next Meeting) Brakes. ( " " " ) Gear Boxes Quietening. (Review at next Meeting) Tappets. Roller tappets are issued (next meeting) Pedal Travel. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} reported pedal travel on SpectreCodename for Phantom III as being less than Phantom. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} will look into this. Engine Mounting. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} raised the question of harder rubbers for engine mounting. It was reported that harder rubbers are on order. | ||
