Cost of Tools £ Nil.
Turned finish of faces of crankshaft webs instead of former ground finish provides a saving of 4/10d. per chassis due to deletion of grinding operation, and involves no tool cost.
All crankshafts from 60th chassis in 'D' series onwards have been machined in this manner.
