re Tank Engines.
--------------

We attach herewith a copy of letter "CTV/I/555 (UC.2)" dated 4th April, received from the War Office in respect to the screening of the Tank engines.

We have replied to the first and last paragraphs of this letter, and should be glad if you would deal with the information asked for in the second paragraph regarding the cost of altering the screening of the additional 61 engines from copper wound to phosphor bronze wound armouring.

You will notice there is no reference to screening of the plugs in this paragraph.
