Copy for Mr. Robotham. WCD/RMM 20th August, 1937. George Robinson, Esq., The Associated Equipment Co.Ltd. SOUTHALL. Middx. My dear Robinson, Mr. Herrington has told me of your conversation with him in regard to Aluminium Alloy Bearings. I am sure that we have reached a stage when development of these bearing materials can be carried out rapidly, but much waste of time can be prevented by a proper study of the application. I have made arrangements with Rolls to take over into our organisation one of their Engine Experts, and he will be coming to us early in September. I would like then to bring him over to thoroughly discuss the matter on the spot. I am rather sorry that Mr. Coverley has let you have some of the material, because it may not be the latest development, and I would not like to encourage you to try out the material until we have had our discussion. I will get in touch with you as soon as possible, but in any case during the next few weeks. Yours sincerely, W.C.Devereux. | ||
