Dear Sir,

Thankyou for your letter of the 8th.inst.

It is very good of you to offer to let us try your sports model Cadillac. Needless to say, we should be very pleased to take advantage of your suggestion.

The writer suggests that Brooklands would be an ideal place to conduct comparative tests between this car and a Phantom II, even if your chassis was not sufficiently run in to permit maximum speeds.

As you are probably aware, Brooklands Track closes for the winter at the end of October. Should, however, it be convenient for you to run down there about the 29th. or 30th., we should be pleased to meet you in town about that date.

Before very long we hope to have a Maybach twelve cylinder car available for trial in England which is more or less a direct competitor of the Cadillac, and perhaps it would interest you to accompany us on a run on this car in which case we should be happy to arrange it if it is at all possible.

Yours faithfully,

For Rolls-Royce Ltd.
