Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 2nd inst. Ref.Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}4/JH., and quite appreciate that the test we gave you on the "FORD" 30 h.p. car was not comparable with a similar test on your "ROLLS ROYCE" cars, owing to the fact that no other make of car runs so silently as do your cars, but the only thing we wished to demonstrate to you was that on other makes of cars running at high speeds we do not get wind noises from the ventilators which, unfortunately, you get on your cars, unless a moulding is fitted in front of the ventilator. We are very grateful to you for your promise to make further tests at Derby, and the writer would very much like to have the opportunity of discussing the whole matter with you, as we are only anxious to do all in our power to overcome this objection, which we gather, in view of your courtesy in continuing the tests, you would also like to do. If, therefore, you would be good enough to let us know when it would be convenient for you to see us, we will with pleasure come down to Derby for this purpose. At the same time we shall then have the "M.M." Daylight Head Lamp improved in the direction you indicated when last we shewed this to you, and we should like to have the advantage of your opinion of our latest proposals in this direction.
