(2) Clips fastened by two bolts There may not be room to use such a clips at the edges of the clutch. The tape should be secured to the aluminium cone by means of rivets, spaced, say, 1" to 1 ½" pitch, as may be necessary. The rivets may be of smaller diameter than those used on the leather but should have heads of the same shape. A slight depression may be machined round each rivet hole, which will swallow up the head of the rivet to some extent, thus - With this method it will not be necessary to cut the cotton fabric to obtain clearance over the rivets.
