Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited,
DERBY.

For the attention of Mr. N. R.{Sir Henry Royce} Chandler.

Dear Sirs,

13½" Long Type Driven Plates.

We have to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 7th. instant and regret to note your complaints relative to recent consignments of 13½" Long type Driven Plates.

We note that you are returning two driven plates for our examination and these will be studied in conjunction with your letter now under reply, and we will advise you of our findings.

In the meantime we are taking steps to see that the criticisms which you now register be removed from future consignments, but at the same time we would point out that we have been experiencing considerable difficulty in connection with the drilling of the special Thermoid facings, with which the driven plates in question were fitted.

Our Mr. Armitage is at present on vacation but this matter will be brought to his notice immediately upon his return to the Works on Monday next.

Yours faithfully,
BORG & BECK COMPANY LIMITED.
