Bailey - Chief Engineer} from ROY. {Sir Henry Royce} c. to Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} -------- ROY {Sir Henry Royce} 17/MG17.8.25 -------- The A.T.Speedometer Company have submitted a modified instrument and cable No.15948, in which they have embodied alterations to the cable and coupling on the instrument end to get over the "clicking" difficulty of which we have complained on previous occasions. They ask if we will give same a thorough test, and advise them the result in due course. In addition to these modifications, they say:- "With regard to the instrument, we are still earnestly "trying to meet Mr. Bailey's objections and believe in "a very short time we shall be able to submit further "improvements we have effected."
