YOUR REF Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.10/AP. DATE 1st April 1938. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Derby. Dear Sirs, We beg to acknowledge your letter of the 28th ultimo answering the query which we put up to you in connection with the internal hexagon recess for the Filler Cap moulding. We note your interpretation of the shape which does not coincide with what we were thinking it would be. Unfortunately our Tool-room who were working on the tool, have interpreted this shape in still another way and have actually finished the plug with a .050" radius following the hexagon shape all the way round. We are wondering whether this shape will be satisfactory to you or not. If not, of course, we shall have to make a new plug and would be glad if you would let us know, by return of post, so that we can put same in hand if necessary. Yours faithfully, For BIRKBYS LIMITED.
