By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} has reported that the silencer pipe between the engine and main silencer on Phantom II has fell to pieces immediately it was gripped in a vice due to intercrystalline corrosion. This has happened very quickly on new pipes and he wishes us to check one or two of our pipes to see whether we have got the same features. Will you please therefore when convenient check the pipes on our Phantom cars.
