EXCEPT FOR THE 3 DETAILS QUOTED ALL OTHER PIECES ARE STANDARD TO 20/25 & BENTLEY. 3 HOLES, EQUALLY SPACED, IN EACH RING GROOVE. WHEN ASSEMBLED AS SHOWN & WELL OILED THE INNER SLIDING PIECE SHOULD PULL OUT UNDER AN AXIAL LOAD OF 30-36 LBS. THIS IS THE FRICTIONAL DRAG WHEN THE RINGS ARE OUT OF THE GROOVES. SHOULD BE CHECKED BEFORE ASSEMBLING INTO A GEARBOX. ANTI-RATTLERS & CAMS ARE UNALTERED. SECTION AA.{D. Abbot-Anderson} NOTE THE SCHEME DELETES 6 PLUNGERS, 6 SPRINGS & 12 HOLES FROM THE INNER SLIDING PIECE & SUBSTITUTES 2 SPRING RINGS & THEIR GROOVES. NO LIGHTENING HAS BEEN DONE AS WE MERELY WISH TO TEST THE RINGS AT THIS STAGE. THE STRESS RANGE IN THE SPRINGS IS 77,200 - 102,000 LB/SQ".
