For the attention of Mr. Evans.

Dear Sirs,

Referring to the sample rubbers F.60399 received with your letter dated 19th inst., we consider the painted finish is preferable. Will you therefore please arrange for these rubbers to be painted.

Actually we were of the opinion that you were going to paint all the metal inserted rubbers, namely, F.60398/9 and F.60517.

Although we agree that the paint you are using is reasonably dry, we hope the unevenness of its surface will improve.
