RE 1/2" WHITTLE BELT FOR DYNAMO DRIVE.
This has been running on 1718 car for over 10,000 miles and was very satisfactory, it gave considerably less trouble both as regards stretching and slipping when slack as compared with the present 1/2" belt.
The only trouble was a knocking due to dynamo pulley which I understand was anticipated by Mr Bailey, it being considerably heavier allowing the free wheel to give and take causing the knock. The lighter one has now been fixed which has so far been quite satisfactory.
