(1) To accept 6-volt units of their present standard dimensions (quoted dimensions of 6-volt five cell units 12 3/4" x 7" x 10 1/4" high, weight 53 lbs), and somehow make room for the special battery boxes necessary to carry these in the chassis.

or (2) To approach the makers to make special batteries to our own standard size in 6-volt units, in which case the capacity would be slightly less and internal resistance somewhat increased.

We could readily obtain two of their standard 6-volt units for bench tests only - in fact these are offered at the moment;- This would be of some interest but of doubtful utility because we feel we know pretty well what sort of results to expect from bench tests only, so that in the absence of the prospect of running these on an expl. car, little would apparently be gained.

Regarding these batteries, Mr. Minchin remarks "The latest type put up in a Dagenite container is far the most practical alkaline motorcar battery that has ever been made and there are quite a few on motorcars behaving quite satisfactorily."
