TO DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Copy to C.L. " " BN.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} " " EH. " " EFC. ORIGINAL. E1/G26/7/19. 2 RECEIVED 29 JUL 1919 RE 20 H.P. CHASSIS SHEET METAL FAN. X.3576 We send you herewith drawing Lec.1113 showing the above. We think the sheet metal will make a very satisfactory fan, and will be much cheaper to produce than the alternative design with loose blades. There are two sheet metal pressings forming the fan, one only of which has actual blades on it. Both are boxed and ribbed and are bolted up to each other on each side of an alum-ium mounting which screws on to the fan.pulley hub. The fan pulley is made from two sheet metal flanges rivetted to a central aluminium flange. The spindle and bracket for carrying this fan are as on the first design sent through. The steel work should be finished with some good non-rusting process. Would you kindly put in hand the necessary details for instructing this job. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
