Secondly, what improvements have been reported on by the Experi-
mental Dept; and have not yet been approved by Mr Royce. Thirdly,
what experiments have been reported on by the Experimental Dept;
and have been approved by Mr Royce, but have not yet been authorized
by the signature of the General Managing Director, the Works Manager,
the Superintendant of the Testing Dept; etcetera. Fourthly, what

improvements have/been approved by the signature of Officials but
have not yet been introduced into Standard Manufacture.

Why, and in what series will they be introduced, whether
material has been ordered, whether patterns are being made etcetera.

Naturally, the signatures of the officials which are
necessary before improvements can be introduced into standard
manufacture need not be on one paper; the request for the signature
should be sent on a separate sheet for each official, so as to save
time.

The usual Monthly Reports of Chief Draughtsmen may be
discontinued. The first of the new Monthly Reports as to progress
with improvements should be sent in on 1st February and should deal
with all improvements which have not yet been included in Standard
Manufacture.
