E.R. Hall, Esq.,

LONDON, N.W.1.

Dear Hall,

Here is a copy of a letter I have had from Sleator which I think is excellent, as Sleator knows the race so well that he has put his finger on all the vital spots.

I cannot conceive any reason why we should carry 2 spare wheels. I should like to limit the fuel carried to 30 gallons. We are clear on the cylinder head. The seals we shall have to watch.

With regard to the wiring, I believe the right thing will be to leave the standard wiring on but duplicate the connections throughout so that if a failure occurs, wires will be to hand to remedy it.

The people who have got to change valve springs at the pits must practise assiduously.

The vital point at the moment is to get the question of the body settled, as all our final arrangements will have to be left until we get the complete car. It will be highly unsatisfactory if both chassis are not ready on the 1st June. We shall want at least 3 weeks on the car fitted with the body, which means that you should have completed your tests on the body before the end of the first week in May.

I do not know what all the dates on the attached sheet mean, but presume Mrs. Hall will deal with them. If you want us to do anything, you must let us know.

Yours sincerely,
