Experimental test report.

It is now practically proved that the blackening effect on the ignition contact points which has sometimes occurred on some of the new EAC. chassis is due to the influx of oil vapour through the ball bearing. It is a fact that a similar kind of blackening of the platinum points has never occurred on our bench apparatus, and is nowhere near so frequent on the 20 HP. ignition.

There is no doubt that it is a desirable thing to exclude oil vapour from the rotor chamber.
