Dear Sirs, With further reference to yours of 20th June, we beg to advise that the tyres about which we wrote to your London House are of the ordinary beaded edge type and what we were anxious to do was merely to obtain some information about a particular form of cord casing with which we have experimented during the last two or three years. We had made up 6 only 895 x 150 which we offered in a few suitable quarters at the same time as we wrote to your London House and they have now all been taken at the price mentioned, so that we shall be in a position to obtain the data we require and, in the circumstances, we do not feel disposed to go to the very considerable expense of making specially one or two more for you to test free of charge. Please understand that had these covers been straight edge variety and you were definitely interested we should have been most pleased to place a set with you for testing and whenever you are in the market for Wired-on cover with cord casing, we trust you will be good enough to favour us with an enquiry. Our experimental work with this type of cover is completed and we have all the necessary moulds on order, so that we feel sure we could interest you, both as regards quality and price, within a very few weeks. | ||
