X6112 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} from EFC. EFC4/AD24. 2.31. X.6037. BATTERY IGNITION CONDENSER In your report on 18-GIV after 10,000 miles test dated 30.1.31 you stated that the condenser used on 18-GIV had a capacity of .264 mf. This appears to be an error for .246 mf. which was the actual capacity of the condenser as measured by us after its removal from the chassis. With regard to your reference to the mushroom head being in XM.1000 material, tests of this material were completed some time ago and the use of it inadvisable for this purpose and there was no reason for the mushroom head in that material having been put on 18-GIV as it was not to our instruction.
