It is practically impossible tto give the wear of the bearings from all the measurements we have been able to take we have come to the conclusion that no actual wear of the bearing surface has taken place. This statement you may not believe but I should advise very carefull investigation. In our opinion the slackness in the bearings reported and observed is due to wear of the aluminium housing in the top half of crankcase and off the outer dia. of the Hall's metal. The total amount of slackness in the housings caused by this is .008" as near as it is possible to measure. | ||
