12-GN. This was caused by uneven load of front shock dampers through loss of oil.

12-GN. Thumping of front brakes and sticking of servo.
The sticking of the servo was found to be due to the rusty condition of the three pins, causing them to bind. The thumping of the brakes was due to the inefficiency of the servo caused by the above. In another case the servo inefficiency was cured by giving the servo a few minutes run with a load on, and the rear brakes held off. This irons out the fabrics and also dries out any excess of oil.

79-GN. Intermittent failure of starter motor.
The failure of this could not be reproduced whilst on test, but to obtain some reason of the complaint I dismantled the starter and thoroughly examined the unit. The only reason I could find for the intermittent slipping was that the ends of the coils of the main spring were overlapping and appeared to have dug into the sleeve. These were ground off and the starter re-erected. I have explained this trouble to Mr. Brock also the necessity of checking up the springs on the outer dia. so that they do not bind when compressed.

Radiator leak.
61-CL. N.S. bottom corner.
This was due to lack of solder between the tubes and seam.
