-4- The bijur pipe was intact, the soldered joints being secure. The filter was covered with foreign matter including what appeared to be small particles of solder. The L.P. air vent hole was filled up, putting it out of action. OFF SIDE The condition of this damper was very similar to the N.S. the loads checking at :- Low pressure 77 lb. High " 80 lb. The shaft and bearings were the same as the N.S. The piston and cylinder were O.K. in fact the "go" end of the limit gauge would barely fit into the cylinder. Both ends of the links felt to be slightly bell-mouthed, but there was no end play. Side play at each end was .003" The filter in this case was fairly free from foreign matter. | ||
