CHASSIS - RADIATORS. ------------------- With reference to the blacking of the matrix of the radiator, in thinking this matter over I consider the following scheme should be worked to:- Two radiators should be finished off by the pouring or air blast method. (a) Finish in Berlin black. (b) Finish in dead black. The two radiators in question should then be handed over to EH, in order to test out whether the radiators treated with berlin black are as efficient, as far as cooling, as those treated with dead black. This particular feature is essentially an experimental department question and therefore one that we should obtain their opinion upon, in order to absolutely preclude any argument in the future. Upon receipt of the Experimental Department's report, Sales can then make up their minds definitely which of the two finishes is preferred - this, of course, is assuming that the two materials show equal efficiency - if Berlin black is inefficient it will, of course, be turned down.
