Sidgreaves - MD}9/E24.4.34 In E6/HP.23.4.34 you mention that we are running a Peregrine gearbox on a Bentley chassis. I am not sure from memory whether this had synchromesh - I rather imagine it had not - but in any case I should like to know what the position is both about the Peregrine gearbox for the Bentley and synchromesh secondspeed for the Bentley. I cannot see either mentioned in E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}7/HP.24.2.34 giving particulars of items which we hope to standardise on 'C' Series as the result of the next 10,000 miles test, nor is either in the list of items in the early experimental stages which it is not proposed to recommend for 'C' Series.
