Coverley - Production Engineer} x308 E/PSN/FS.{F. Steele}1/MN.25.2.36. Phantom III Air Silencer. We send you herewith LeC 5000 which shows the 9" diameter air silencer for use with the Duplex Carburetter. This silencer is based upon that developed by the Expl. Dept. and while it retains the essential features of that design, it has been modified to make it suitable for production. You will observe that an alternative to the Vokes filter element is provided which incorporates the "Pot Scrubber" element. To enable this silencer to be detached from the carburetter it has been necessary to move the rear bonnet support, which necessitates a modification to the bonnet hinge rivet spacing. The air horn entry has been provided with a chamfer to improve the air flow, and the inlet pipe bosses which carry the silencer support brackets have been lengthened. E/PSN. Att:LeC 5000. | ||
