FITTING A TUFNOL GUIDE BUSH TO THE SPINDLE. Purpose: To improve the reliability. Brief Report and Remarks: This bush has improved the life of the petrol pump on endurance tests and has run 30,000 miles on 8.B.V. in France. It has been standardised on Wraith 'C' series and we wish to keep the pumps interchangeable to simplify service and repair. When recommended for Introduction Report References Increase/Decrease in Cost & difference: No difference. GRL 1/3/39 Cost of Tools £: Nil. Production Position and Comments: S.U. Petrol Pump with Tufnol Guide bush to the armature spindle can be introduced at the 106th. chassis in 'D' series without scrap.
