Specification of the above engine unit is revised as follows :- Work carried out at Clan 28.3.44. Crankcase & Bearings. LOP.EB.5215. Existing Top Half EB.4670 (mod. to RE.1000) Main Bearing bores opened out to 2.916 dia. to suit latest Vandervell Bearings. New set of Vandervell Main Bearings fitted Indium faced - lead bronze. Connecting Rods. LOP.RE.2636. The following parts fitted :- 6-RE.2634/5 Rods and Caps ex B.60.No.2. 2-RE.2634/5 " " " (RE.297/8 existing). modified New set of Indium faced lead bronze Bearings fitted - Vandervell. Valves & Fittings. LOP.EB.4112. The following parts fitted in accordance with Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager}9/OH.24.3.44 :- 4-EB.5210 Exhaust Valves.
