Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls}2/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 261 3rd Sept., 1937. J.W. Howlett, Esq., Wellworthy Piston Rings Limited, Piston & Ring Specialists, Lymington, HANTS. Dear Sir, Mr. Hives has passed on your letter to our Experimental Department. With regard to the trouble you have had on your car with second speed jumping out when going up a hill, this is a very rare occurrence and certainly does not take place on every Bentley chassis. If you can let our Repair Department have your car for three days they will put the matter right for you. Yours faithfully, For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
