RE NEW AND REPAIR CHASSIS. CX.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}2565

I am very anxious cars should not be delivered with tight engines and therefore give a bad first impression.

Many times I have suggested running engines on the test plate or road, and then stripping, cleaning, and re-scraping all grit from the surface of the bearings, and easing the hard spots on pistons, and other sliding or running parts, including the throttle valve.

The engines should then be re-erected extremely cleanlily and free-fitting, so as to avoid the necessity of much road running before the engine is free and runs smoothly.

R.{Sir Henry Royce}
