HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} weighs up the headlight situation in his memo. of 28.1.29. I agree with his conclusions and prefer the three lamp scheme.

Barker and Lucas dippers are very unsatisfactory: I would never think of using them.

A switch scheme is as much as one can work, and one must have the important lamps focussed correctly and undisturbed.

With our 18-EX. we have done over 80 MPH. in the dark.

HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} says this scheme is good for fog, which seems of the utmost importance.
