Springs - Front and rear springs similar to J.3. but stiffened up as required for heavier loading. Dumb irons and anchorage brackets as J.3.

Dashboard - New dashboard required.

Steering Column. - Similar to J.3. but with latest controls and incorporating one of the schemes now being tried for improved steering on Phantom.

Pedals. - Similar to J.3. but height of pedals being investigated.

Front and Rear Dampers. - Latest RR. hydraulic pattern with hand control operated from steering column.

Flywheel & Clutch. - As Phantom 2 but modified to take spring damped drive scaled up from Bentley.

Front Axle - As J.3. only 1.000 De-Saxe on front springs.

Rear Axle and Brakes. - J.3. Rear Brakes with spiral bevel centre portion to N. Sch.3764.

Propeller Shaft. - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Length- 53.000 long approx, with Hardy Spicer needle roller bearing joints.

Gearbox. - Similar to J.3. with xxxxxxxxx 1st motion shaft to suit Spring Damped Clutch.

Brake and Change. - As J.3. Angular positions.

Gear Mechanism. of Brake and Change Gear Levers altered.

Spare Wheel Carrier. - Spare Wheel centre line to coincide with dashboard. Step iron to be fitted directly underneath to support spare wheel trough. The spare wheel bracket to be in line with dashboard.

Battery Box - Suspension same type as Bentley, but size and position of battery awaiting investigation.

Petrol Tank.- Larger tank of Bentley pattern required.
