Water Connections.

Water connection rubbers - in Leyland P. & R.{Sir Henry Royce} rubber from pump to radiator - general condition good.
The "Klingerite" joint washers originally fitted were removed in France and replaced with "Dermatine" washers.

Air Intake Silencer.

The inner frame EB.2768 is cracked in the radius at the base of the "window" section, see EX.I.66.
Wire gauze is ragged on the edge and has been fidgetting against the filter cap causing indentations.

Transmission and Brakes.

Front Axle.

Front Axle GB.1224 - off side pivot boss twisted 1º forward.
Near side pivot boss set bodily backward .025" (See Ex.I.71)
Otherwise general condition good.

Pivots GB.1882-3 and pivot pins GB.1465 - magnetic tested for cracks and found O.K.

Pivots and steering levers GB.2059-60 - The .437" diameter holes in these for securing bolts have been reamed to give a very slack fit.

Off side steering arm fidgetting on joint face of pivot.

Pivot pins are fidgetting slightly in the axle.

The joint faces of pivots and levers are very poor and likely to cause trouble.

Front Brakes.

Brake linings in S.5805 material excessively worn past the heads of copper rivets. Toggles have been opened out after full adjustment had been taken up.
Anti-judder balance weight levers GB.2388 have worn in .575 dia. hole.
