TOP-DOG BRAKE & CLUTCH LINING WORKS
BRISLINGTON, BRISTOL,4.
DATE 15th February, 1938.

Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,
For the attention of Mr.A.F.Martindale.

We thank you for your letter of the 14th instant.

Chamfering of liners has been a standard practice with us for so long that we are afraid we overlooked that the Bentley has one big piece and one little piece of lining per shoe. We will however, remember that when you order the next set of linings, you require them unchamfered, and we will arrange accordingly.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused you.

Yours faithfully,
HUBERT H.P. TRIST & COMPANY.
