As you are aware, it was recently decided in cases where polished bonnets were required, the ventilating shutters should be ommitted. Feeling sure that this would be a serious disadvantage in countries like India and Australia, I wrote to the depots asking for their views on this matter, and attach herewith copy of memo I have just received from India. In the meantime, I understand that it has been decided that for cars going to hot countries, even although polished bonnets are to be supplied ventilating shutters will not be done away with. EP.{G.
