Dear Sirs,

x 4159. RE PETROL GAUGES.
------------------

With further reference to your letter of the 4th December 1919 and the sample petrol gauges you were good enough to send us, you remark that the gauges are not made suitable for our tank but that you will be able to do so at our request.

It is now our intention to recommend to our Sales Department that where a customer requires a petrol tank gauge fitted they should advise him to fit the vertical type of magnetic gauge which you make. In view of this no doubt you would be prepared to make a gauge with the dial reading correctly to the tank, and would send us a further sample so that we may see exactly what we are recommending customers to have.

Thanking you in anticipation,

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS ROYCE LTD.
