BENTLEY BRAKES.

With reference to C.12/C.13.6.34, we have a brake lining which we consider is better for the particular fault complained of, i.e., inefficiency after washing, than the standard lining. It has the defect that it does not wear so well as the M.R material, but this would probably not be noticed under ordinary driving conditions.

We are proposing to fit this lining to all Trials Cars with a view to getting some practically information of its merits under widely varying conditions, before we fit it to a customer's car.

This is not the lining which we fitted to Paton's car, we think it is better. We are sending half a dozen sets of these linings, which are known as FB-4-A type, to Cricklewood and suggest that when you have had some Trials car experience you deal with Sir Malcolm Campbell's and Miss Marjorie Smith's cars, if the results prove satisfactory.
