FRONT SPRINGS. ----------- I am handing you herewith print from F.71785 which embodies all Mr.Royce's latest requirements, and in addition, you will notice that I have altered the thickness of the plates from .312 to .285 The hundred pairs of springs which it was agreed we should accept from Messrs Woodhead should be ordered at once to the particulars given on the above drawing, and every effort should be made to obtain the earliest possible delivery of the springs in question. The only difference betwixt this spring and the ten pairs of springs which Messrs Woodhead have recently supplied is that Mr.Royce has adopted a total number of plates ranging from ten to thirteen. One further point which was brought to my attention this morning was that the first deliveries of springs of the new design and poundages are to be utilised in fitting up the Demonstration Cars for Olympia. After that, the Trials Cars for France are to be dealt with. The actual poundages of springs required would therefore be, for the Demonstration Cars:- Sales' Trials Chassis 10-AU. --------------------- Front. N.S. 1100 - Rear.
