To BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X8420 Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rn {Mr Robinson} 2/LG24.2.27. In our Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rn {Mr Robinson} 5/LG7.10.26 we asked you to arrange for the brakes of the new type front axle to be bedded concentrically. One reason for this is that the front brakes on the new type axle appear, for some rather obscure reason, to be rather too efficient. This trouble has now developed on test and on investigation we find that the old type bedding is still being used on the front brake shoes. We should be obliged if you will give this matter your attention. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
