BENTLEY SPARKING PLUGS.

Replying to Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} 4/E.29.1.37. We have carried out the tests on sparking plugs recommended at the last Conference. We believe that the suggestion of wet plugs came from Banks of the Ethyl Corporation. He was up here last week, and we told him there was no justification whatever for his statements.

We have carried out tests starting up from cold, idling, and running full throttle at low speeds. We have compared the Packard, Chevreolet and the Bentley. Under non of these conditions was there any sign of wet sparking plugs. This refers to petrol. We know that if the car is over-oiling, oil may get on the plugs.
