I am extremely pleased with the results we have obtained. I should not attempt to alter it in the least. The lower speed of the RR. machine is a distinct virtue as it turns the engine quite fast enough and does not put such a big drain on the battery. The alterations of less turns on the field magnets would result in a greater rush of current and a more sudden and distressing start. I think it would be extremely unwise to make such an alteration. Apparently also there is considerable advantage in regard to efficiency especially when compared with the Lucas machine. This is very satisfactory. RECEIVED 28 JUL 1922 | ||
