X.3067 RE PETROL AND OIL PROOF ENAMELS. X.3482

Regarding your note BY2/P2119, you will remember handing over some time ago under your BY11/G5.617, samples of petrol resisting and oil resisting enamel and these were tried by Mr. Coverley on carburetter float chamber castings with the result reported upon by Mr. Coverley (copy attached).

We did nothing further regarding the petrol proof enamel on account of the unfavourable report. I have no record of any other petrol proof enamel as applied to aero engine carburetters in my file.
